Mcjuicing …

I recently joined the masses and finally purchased a juicer, it wasn’t too expensive thankfully, so I’m stoked and it gets the job done. Now the only trick is to market shop once a week (not too hard) and then juice every (other) day. I like that there is a juice for whatever ails you, whether it be flu, low immunity, fatigue or a sluggish digestive system and there are no added sugars or preservatives (I adored the McDonald’s Fat-Free Mango Pineapple Smash Smoothie until I found out one of them contains 20 teaspoons of sugar!) …

I’ve compiled a number of juice recipes on Pinterest but in the meantime here are two great juices that I’ve found to be extremely nourishing and quick to prepare …

Mega Greens Juice:

1 green apple,1 cucumber,1 lemon, 1/4 green cabbage, handful of spinach, 2c water, ice cubes,

Alkalinising Juice:

1 cucumber, 1 celery stalk, 2 kiwifruit, 1 pear, 1 cup of water

have re-started juicing again since Christmas. And love it. Nothing like starting first thing in the morning with a home made juice.

  2. I’m currently on Day 17 of a juice fast and love my juicer!
Thanks for the recipes, will have to try some of them out.

    Happy juicing!

Aah thats brilliant ! My fav at the moment is cucumber, apple, celery (including leaves), lemon and ginger. It’s light and summery and lovely with ice cubes 🙂

      1. I love that too. All my favourite tastes in one.
