Review: Getting parcels in the mail will always be one of my all time favourites things in life but the beautiful scents wafting from my Sorbet delivery left me salivating. The peppermint aroma of the D.C Shampoo Bar is so refreshing (at the risk of trying to sound like a sommelier I’ll leave it there). YummY peppermint Yumminess. I described my hair (symptoms) to Brianne West, founder of Sorbet Sensations and bless her, she sent me Damage Control. I’m not an expert on hair, I don’t know if hair can actually be broken, looking in the mirror I suspect it can. Anemia certainly reeks havoc on one’s hair to the point that clumps fall out each time one washes – awesome, enough said. The Damage Control Shampoo Bar did exactly what it said, it controlled my damaged hair and dare I say helped soothe and heal it a little too. I’ve been using the D.C Bar for nearly a year now and somewhere along the way my hair just became softer and more healthy looking. I like to think that during this past year my:
- regular exercise *cough* regimen
- better nutritional choices
- my gorgeous peppermint (D.C) bar
have all combined to give my locks there much-needed bounce and shine back.
What is it: Wonderbar
What is it formulated to do: It’s a Wonderbar, so it works as an in-shower body moisturiser, hair conditioner, shaving bar for men and women AND works as a heat protector for your hair. For Normal – Dry hair.
Ingredients: Behentrimonium Methosulphate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, Glycerine, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Caprylyl Glycol, Amodimethicone, Coco Caprylate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Vanilla Essential oil, Mica
Usage: Product is solid, slide the bar down wet hair 3-4 times
Review: I will always be a fan of products that double or triple up in their usage I found myself using the Wonderbar to shave with and as an in-shower moisturiser to both face and body. To condition my damaged ends I only used the W-bar on the lower 2/3rds of my hair and left it for several minutes. I found the blend of ingredients softened and tamed my
frizzy fluffy ends once it came to blow drying. * Amen & Hallelujah * I don’t use styling products on my hair, so to walk away primped and primed after only ‘pooing and wonderbar-ing’ is perfection for me and all of the fuss-free-but-want-to-look-Kate-Middleton-perfect women out there. The vanilla scent is just divine and makes both hair and body smell gorgeous. Priced at NZD27 the Wonderbar lasted me nearly one year so I definitely feel I got my monies worth.

Disillusioned with the amount of wasted packaging and ineffective natural products on the market, Brianne started a company that would show the world what she had already discovered with her first shampoo bar – that solid products can be sensational.
